Procedure for getting a Licence |
You must first meet
the following criteria

Must have held a Car
licence for 1 year and must not be on a P1 car licence |
| MR |
Must have held a Car
licence for 1 year
and must not be on a P1 car licence |
| HR |
Must have held a Car
licence for 2 years
and must not be on a P1 car licence |
| HC |
Must have held a MR or
HR licence for 1 year
and must not be on a P1 or P2 car licence |
| MC |
Must have held a HR
licence for 2 years or a HC licence for 1 year.
Note: We don't offer training for this
Licence. |

| You must complete a knowledge test at the RTA. |
| You can either
download the questions from the RTA’s website or purchase the manuals
at a RTA office (2 of, one for the car and one for the heavy vehicle)
50% of questions relate to general knowledge and cars. $10 each or
free download from the web.

| Book in at the RTA
for a knowledge test for the appropriate licence required. $39 each
test. |
Purchase Competency
Based Assessment (CBA) manuals $23 for both.

your training and assessing. |
| Once you have
finished your training and assessing with Snells, take your log book
back to the RTA with your current licence and they will update it for
you at a cost of $23. |
| You can start
training without the knowledge test being done, but there is no value
because we can’t assess you without the CBA books. |
